🎬 Muhammad Habbibi Guerra is a multifaceted musician and educator committed to exploring the many dimensions of music. From an early age, he began studying instruments like the guitar, oud, charango, and bouzouki, training under masters such as Rubén Álvarez and Douglas Felis, and attending institutions like the Manuel de Falla Conservatory and EMPA. His self-taught approach led him to master a variety of instruments, including the trombone, banjo, and musical saw.
🔥 Throughout his career, Guerra has delved deeply into musical theory, acoustics, and psychoacoustics, investigating the connections between music, nature, and its ability to heal the human spirit. He continues to refine his vocal technique under the guidance of Lucía Maranca while sharing his knowledge through pedagogical projects.
🛠 He has been part of various musical projects, including La Quimera del Tango, Pequeña Orquesta Reincidentes, and Palo Pandolfo’s Cuarteto Garpamal. Currently, he is a member and director of Daniel Melingo’s orchestra, while also collaborating as a musician and producer on albums by artists such as Gotan Project and Paloma del Cerro. His versatility has also seen him perform with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Teatro Colón, interpreting works by Krenek and Penderecki on the musical saw.
📅 Muhammad’s journey has taken him to international stages, establishing himself as a key figure in festivals of all kinds, whether with his own projects or as part of others. His work continues to push the boundaries of musical creativity.

One Sunday morning, during the period when Reincidentes began taking their own paths, Rodrigo Guerra, with his project Guerra y Todo, gave one of the few interviews from that time. This material, still preserved as an archive, became a landmark referenced in multiple interviews over the years.
Muhammad Habbibi, or simply “Rodra” for his mom, offers one of the most profound reflections on the creative process in music and the conceptualization of his project:
“Music is a science that requires study, trials, rehearsals, and multiple processes. Every process is an act of experimentation and involves a search. There will always be something expressed, even in the most commercial product.”
Muhammad returns as part of the genesis of this project, where we continue to find precise moments to resume the conversation.
Here, the process of this dialogue began in August 2008 and continues into 2024.

💻 About our PROCESS
On March 28, 2024, after coordinating with Muhammad in the days prior, we managed to hold a meeting that coincided with a Christian holiday in Argentina and Chile. Interestingly, three distinct beliefs enriched the discussion around the table.
We divided the interview by personal priorities: Gerardo could not attend the full session, so he started with his specific questions. The second part, in chronological terms, is available for listening here.
This second section was approached with a different sonic perspective, incorporating elements from the initial editing process. We aimed to recreate the best sound quality for the voices, applying deeper spatialization processes, panning effects, and some drones inherited from previous projects. From the premiere of the first part until today, this sonic proposal has been refined.
The technical work included editing and assembling using Ocenaudio for Windows 10, with mixing and mastering on Ableton Live 11, achieving optimal quality for digital platforms.
