Soledad brings with her a solid career in relation to sound. As a dedicated student of sound manifestations, a music educator, and a voice artist, she presents a podcast series structured into episodes that explores philosophical approaches to sound as a central theme. Through various topics such as noise, silence, pandemics, and music, Soledad invites us to reflect on the diverse facets of sonic experience.

In this work, Soledad raises questions that often don’t have concrete answers. However, she successfully outlines countless approximations, proposals, and excuses to delve into the complexity of sound.

Spectrum is the piece that Soledad proposes for an attentive listen. This series, of which we offer negative fragments (according to the author, it’s the mix without voices with experimental arrangements), is available on various platforms. 💻 About our PROCESS

From time to time, we receive listening recommendations, invitations, and new releases in our inbox – though not always in the one dedicated to that purpose. Spectrum was a unique case: earlier this year, through LinkedIn, we received an invitation from Soledad to listen to her podcast.

The process that followed was simple, though it took time. We invited Soledad to participate in a special broadcast on a partner radio station, and then we sent her questions by email. This entire exchange culminated in the final result that we now share as part of El RUIDO es el Mensaje.

Upon receiving Soledad’s audio responses, we edited them using our favorite tool, OCEAN AUDIO for Windows. We assembled the material in Ableton Live 11, and then tagged the various audio files with TAG&Rename Portable. We’re well aware of the importance of each file including details such as BPM, artist, work, year, and genre, as well as credits for authorship and composition. This is crucial, especially in a world where some still believe that one person’s work can be attributed to another.

Thus, a new NOISE is ready to be shared, carrying the essence of our sonic philosophy.
