Alexandra Spence is a sound artist and musician living on unceded Wangal land in Sydney, Australia. Her practice reimagines the intricate relationships between the listener, objects, and the environment as a kind of communion. She has presented her work globally, including at Café Oto, London; EMS, Stockholm; and Museo Reina Sofia, Madrid. Spence collaborates with MP Hopkins as Banana and curates the Sydney sound series Humming Grotto. She has released solo albums on various labels and has been acclaimed by The Quietus and The Wire Magazine. Spence believes that electricity might actually be magic..
